Jack Simon has worked as a psychiatrist for four decades. Ten years ago, he began a personal journey in photography, and these days he rarely goes anywhere without a camera by his side.
Simon’s street photographs reflect a curious mind and a sharp eye. “I enjoy the hunt for that moment of mystery, surprise, and humor in my everyday life,” Simon writes. “I seek unplanned and unposed images that hint to a larger story, like a publicity still from some forgotten movie.”
