THE BUCKET SHOT

Peter McKinnon was more excited about smuggling fireworks across the Canadian border than being a photographer. His hobbies were BMX biking and skateboarding and art wasn’t even remotely on his list of future endeavors. The Bucket Shot is just that, his ultimate quest to get the perfect photo he envisioned 9 years before at Moraine Lake in Canada’s Banff National Park during winter.

This is not just a journey about the photographer, but also the people he meets along the way. But as he describes it, “This was the exact moment everything came together. I snapped the frame, and I nailed it. It was perfect. It was the bucket shot.”
